T W Mays wins the 12hp class inaugural hill climb at Syston Park in a Humber, accompanied by his son Raymond.
Legends of motor cycling flock to race at Syston such as Stanley Woods, C. J. Williams and Tommy Cann.
Just 20 miles from the ERA factory in Bourne and well known to Mays, Syston Park was the perfect venue for some secret testing before its launch at Brooklands.
Mays, Howe, Fernihough, AFP Fane… The drivers and their machines were world class. Sadly racing ended in 1939 never to return until…..
A group of friends gathered seventy or so cars and bikes for a fabulous party.
Staying true to the spirit of pre-war motorsport we held our first of what is planned to be an annual event.
Don’t miss out.
